An instructor teaches you the subtleties of winter sports, but that's not all! In fact, there are many unsuspected facets to this profession, for which it is essential to follow appropriate training, such as the one offered by esf Academy.
Customer relations, tax regulations, security... You need to get acquainted with a number of different aspects before putting on your red esf jacket for the first time.
But what exactly is esf Academy? It's a skills centre designed to train future esf instructors. Once they have completed their training, they will have all the qualities you look for in a winter sports teacher.

Of course, to be eligible for such training, they will have to meet a number of conditions: be over 16, have a minimum level of Flèche d'or or Chamois de vermeil, and already hold an ESF or FFS Club licence.

Being an instructor means helping sportspeople of all ages to discover winter sports, whether they are already comfortable on skis or are apprehensive about their first descent. You need to have a real flair for teaching and unquestionable interpersonal skills.
While a certain level of technical expertise is essential, you also need to be able to guarantee lessons in complete safety, with teaching adapted to the client's needs.

These skills are acquired during esf Academy training modules. Supervised by trainers approved by the SNMSF's technical department, the profession will no longer hold any secret to them.
In more detail, note that training takes place over several seasons and comprises different stages. After no less than 15 weeks of apprenticeship, during which they alternate between work placements and lessons, they will have the knowledge they need to acquire the diploma.
