Perched high up in the mountains, far from civilisation, the refuges are known for their rustic and wild feel, for an experience as close to nature as you can get. However, to ensure that your experience remains a pleasant one, the refuges in Courchevel offer a number of services designed to ensure your comfort and peace of mind.
First of all, the refuges have photovoltaic panels to supply the accommodation with electricity. This means you can charge your electric mountain bike if you have chosen this option to reach the camp, or simply plug in your phone to make sure you have enough battery power to capture the scenery before you.
In terms of comfort, you'll also have access to dry toilets, as well as a cosy fireplace with wood supplied. Since temperatures can plummet at night, particularly at altitude, there's nothing like a cosy log fire to warm you up and help you spend a pleasant moment with your family, your partner or your friends.

What you need to know before booking your night in a refuge
In Courchevel, there are two options for your night in a refuge. One is the Lacs Merlets refuge. With a total capacity of 14 people, it lies in the heart of the Parc de la Vanoise. As well as an exceptional panorama, you can enjoy a delicious crêpe and a hot drink to get the day off to a good start.
The Grand Plan refuge in Courchevel welcomes you to the Vallée des Avals. By prior arrangement, you can enjoy a traditional Savoyard meal, an experience that will awaken all your senses. This larger refuge can accommodate up to 26 people, perfect for a getaway with family or friends.
Both refuges are accessible on foot or by mountain bike, for a restful night's sleep before setting off on your next adventure. Both are starting points for a wide range of hikes of varying degrees of difficulty, so your whole family can make the most of the outing.
