What sustainable practices can you follow on site?
Locals and tourists alike have a major role to play in preserving the mountains. Every action they take can have a positive or negative impact on the environment. To preserve the splendour of the area and enjoy winter sports for as long as possible, all you have to do is make a few simple gestures part of your daily routine.
The fauna and flora of the Tarentaise valley are particularly rich. Ibex, marmots, red frogs and golden eagles all live here in peace. When it comes to flowers, you can admire genepi, edelweiss, gentian and Alpine blue thistle, to name but a few. Help save them by collecting your cigarette butts and rubbish, and by taking a reusable water bottle with you wherever you go. You are also asked not to go into prohibited areas so as not to disturb the species present.
Want to go further? Why not take part in a clean-up operation at the end of the season!
