What if your next holiday in Courchevel 1850 was an opportunity to push back your limits? It's been a few years now since the Winter Legacy was launched on the initiative of Alexis Pinturault, a renowned Olympic athlete.

For an exceptional sporting experience, this race will not only put you to the test, but also guarantee you unforgettable memories.

Winter Legacy: a friendly race taking place on 11 and 12 April

Every year, you can take to the slopes to redouble your efforts and improve your performance. But what could be better than an organised race to challenge yourself? That's what the Winter Legacy offers you at Courchevel 1850.

For an experience that's as sporting as it is friendly, there are several ways to register. You can take part as a family, in a duo or in a team of 4.

The duo race

For the duo race, you'll set off at the same time as a second duo against whom you can compete. The parallel routes give you the chance to overtake your rivals if you succeed.

In this case, if either of the two skiers making up the team has a licence, you will take part as a ‘pro’. If there is no licence holder, you will take part in the race as an ‘amateur’

The team race

The 4 skiers in the team start simultaneously at the gates and all complete the entire course. The stopwatch is stopped when the last skier crosses the finish line.

Concerning the categories to which you belong, it is specified that beyond 3 licence holders in the team, you compete as a ‘pro’.

The family race

The rules are similar to those for the team race, except that you must have at least one junior (under 14) in your team.

Who can take part in the famous Winter Legacy?

For an experience that leaves no one behind, everyone is invited to take part in the Winter Legacy. A distinction is made between the Winter Legacy and the Winter Legacy Junior

For the latter, there is an age requirement: you must be between 7 and 12 years old. They will take part in a scale model of the course for greater accessibility.

In both cases, the race is made up of several disciplines: moguls, giant, super giant, ski cross and waterslide. Note that it is not compulsory to take part in the waterslide, and that an escape route will be set up for participants who wish to do so.

A festive atmosphere and lots of prizes to be won during the Winter Legacy

The Winter Legacy arrives at the Stade Émile Allais, and that's when the festivities begin. In the heart of the partners' village, you'll find a refreshment stand serving delicious hot and cold drinks

After a long day in the cold, it's time for some comfort: a giant tartiflette party is on offer, to the lively rhythm of the music played by a DJ.
