‘No matter how many times you fall, the important thing is to get back on your feet every time you do!’

About

Originally from Bourg Saint Maurice, Savoie, Claude Crétier has been immersed in snow sliding sports since the age of three. At that time, he practiced on the slopes near his house. He immediately fell in love with this sport, which gives him the sensation of being able to move freely. This sensation never left him.

Passionate about skiing and extremely gifted, Claude had the opportunity to try his luck on the international stage during competitions, among which the Olympic Games of Salt Lake City in 2002 and the Saint Morritz World Championships in 2003.

Three times crowned France Champion, he explored every aspect of downhill skiing, and decided to help tourists benefiting from his experience since 2006, the year he stopped his career as high level Champion. He therefore never really left the world of high level skiing, since he has been training racing cyclists for the last six years. He was particularly in charge of Alexis Pinturault, symbolic figure of Courchevel skiing resort.

Also specialised in ski touring, Claude also enjoys sharing his love for snowy expeditions throughout unique landscapes. His career gave him the opportunity to hit the most beautiful ski runs in the world- five of them particularly attracted his attention: Jean Blanc in Courchevel, Bird of Prey at Beaver Creek (USA, Colorado), La Streif at Kitzbuhel (Austria), Wengen (Switzerland) and the Gran Risa at Alta Badia in the Dolomites (Italy). However, if you fancy cross country skiing, Claude has a specific advice to give you: you will find the best slopes at Lillehammer, Norway.

Good instructor at heart, Claude Cretier adapts his choices of slopes to the level of his customers and prefers them to discover the sensations of skiing thanks to specifically designed courses.

Thanks to his experience abroad, Claude had the opportunity to meet instructors of the biggest skiing resorts in the world, who helped him develop a deep sense of adaptability, attentiveness and sharing, which make him a unique and qualified instructor.
