‘It is said that Earth is round, while for others it is flat- to me, it is sharp. I have been roaming around the mountains for 26 years to confirm my theory’.
Originally from La Clusaz, James is used to mountainous landscapes and snowy peaks. He has been teaching for only two years in Courchevel, but started hitting the slopes since the early age of three!
Whether on long, smooth sloping pistes covered by fresh snow or on a bumpy runs, James is a professional who appreciates the variety of pistes provided by Nature. He was therefore already rewarded during the Eurostest, where he made the best time.
Fascinated by mountains and wishing to pass on his greatest passion, James feels comfortable with the various practices of skiing, such as off-piste and slalom. He transmits his passion to young generations and adults alike with the same pleasure.
The remarkable improvements his learners make as well as their satisfaction at the end of his training show that his teaching method leads to good results, showing that it is adapted to his learners’ needs. His greatest source of pride? The success of his learners when rewarded by the famous star at the end of their training, finally landing the precious decoration after much effort!
James admires the quality of the Ski School's teaching, which is recognised all over the world. James even had the opportunity to observe its prestige in North America! Having already skied and given skiing lessons in Canada, he noticed that the teaching of sliding sports in France is much more precise technically. For him, the most beautiful pistes in the world are La Vallée Blanche- for its unique landscape- and Verbier.
Outside the pistes, James is a photographer and a guitarist, other passions for him, along with sports. Do not hesitate taking lessons with him if you want to talk about mountains or music!
