‘Courchevel: A high-end skiing resort which should diversify’

About

Originally from the north of France, Olivier hit his first slope in 1971 on the Massif Central: he immediately had a crush for this snow sliding sport!

For Olivier, skiing is a friendly sport that he likes to practice with his friends and his family. His passion for mountains led him to become a ski instructor. Every winter season, he generously passes on his love for sliding sports.

In 1976, Olivier discovered the ski resort thanks to his family. Since then, he has explored the pistes, among which his favourite, La Saulire. Specialised in downhill skiing and cross-country skiing, he has given his very first lessons 36 years ago. Proud to work for the Ecole du Ski Français, Olivier especially retains the values of solidarity and sharing it conveys and which constitute the brand image of French skiing.

Olivier’s favourite ski runs are Bellevarde (Val d’Isère), Streif (Kitzbühel), Lauberhorn (Wengen), Corne (Zinal) and the Grands Montets (Argentière).

Even though the never carried out skiing expeditions, Oliver has already instructed in Switzerland and in Austria, which enabled him to open his mind to different cultures and to enrich his knowledge as well as his skiing techniques.

During the rest of the year, Olivier is a territorial civil servant. Even though he also likes riding his motorcycle, he awaits winter impatiently to get back to his favourite slopes.
